Water play

I'm 10 months old already. Mami keeps saying that i've grown up so fast. Hhm... she never gets tired of saying it. Wonder why?

One of my favourite past time besides eating is playing with water. I love taking a bath. Favourite time of the day. I take a bath 2-3 times a day....

Greedy me..

Mami has been complaining that I'm too greedy. I just love to eat and I am super-cheerful when I get to eat :)

My First Trip to Muar

Went for my very first trip to Muar to visit my Mami's relatives (my grand-uncle, grand-aunties & cousins). I didn't allow anyone to carry me for long... but I sure likeed a grand-aunty who looked like my Ah Mah. Strange . . . It really feels like my Ah Mah was carrying me. See my grand-aunty carrying me...


Mami: Shaun's grand-aunty happened to be my Mum's sister, who married my Dad's brother. Hah.. hah... 2 brothers married 2 sisters. So, Shaun probably thinks that my aunty is my mum :)

Me Big Big Already... 9 months old

Mami said she couldn't believe that I'm already 9 months old. How did time fly so fast? Mami is still treating me like a little baby, cuddling me on my back, hoping that I would sleep still in her arms. Mami...... I'm a big boy already.

I don't like being carried like a baby. I would want to be carried upwards. I don't like to play with baby toys. I would want to play with Koko's Thomas & Friends wooden train and wooden train tracks. I would love to take his wooden bridge, but Koko would always scold me and snatch the bridge away. I just cannot understand what is wrong holding the bridge? It's not that i am going to destroy it??

I've learnt how to crawl. Mami is so afraid of me crawling towards the door after waking up from my sleep. Last time, I would cry out loud when I woke up. Now... I'm different. I would silently wake up and crawl around the room to look for anyone. Otherwise, I'll head towards the door. Mami is thinking twice to put me sleep in the baby cot, but I don't like it.... I want to toss and turn during my sleep. Sleeping on the mattress on the floor is best.

Hhm... I wonder what will I learnt in the next month? All I know is that Mami and Ah Mah have been pressuring me to wave "Bye Bye". Don't understand what that's means....

Just turned 8 . .

I've just turned 8 . . . 8 months old. Today, Yeh Yeh and Mah Mah came to KL for a day trip. As I was earlier not well, Mami decided not to bring me out. So, Yeh Yeh and Mah Mah were only able to see Ben Ben Kor Kor and photos of me. The first comments made were "Wah, Shaun Shaun big boy already - oh.... So different".

Yes, i'm certainly big already and I'm happy being 8 months old. I get to try to crawl bit by bit each day. I can sit quite well and I dislike sleeping in the Baby Cot. It's just to small.

Traumatic . . .

I had high fever last week and was admitted to the hospital. Took a blood and urine test. At first the doctor suspected I had dengue because my white blood cells and platelet counts were low. Took blood test everyday and for 4 days in-a-row, my platelet count dropped. It was a traumatic experience for everyone. Many friends and family members were praying hard for me.

Finally on my 5th day, my platelet count increased and i burst into rashes all over my body... See the photos posted below.

Thank God that throughout all this, I was still as cheerful.


Mami: It was a bacteria infection that caused Shaun to have high fever. It was unfortunate that the infection was known only after 3 days of hospitalisation. I discharged him from the hospital after 3 days and had to bring him into the hospital for another 2 days to take his blood test.

However, thank God that Shaun was very active and cheerful throughout the entire week. Praise God for His Divine healing. Thank you all for your concern & earnest prayers.

At 7 months old . . .

Mami is a little tired of taking my photos. She claims that I look the same throughout all my photo-taking . . . looking forever blurrrrr.

At 7 months old, i've learnt how to sit quite well. Can balance myself while sitting for long long long time. I love to see and listen to Mami play the piano. Koko is always so bad to me, not letting me sit beside Mami at the piano. So, poor me. I have to end up sitting in a playpen beside the piano.

I've also got 2 front teeth at the bottom, and another 1 coming up on the way at the top. My favourite past-time is to eat, eat and eat. I prefer to eat than to drink milk. Food is super yummy. Can't stand the sight of people eating.

Another thing I love most is to see my koko. I would giggle and respond with sounds when koko calls me. It's nice playing with koko.

Me at 6 months old

Oh Gosh! I'm already 6 months old. It's nice being 6 months old. I get to "mumm..mumm..... it's yumm..yumm". 3 things I love most:

No. 1: I love to eat
No. 2: I love to go out
No. 3: I love my Ah Mah. I would always smile when I see her.

Messy Shaun Shaun

Ah Mah and Mami kept scolding me today when I was enjoying my cereal. I love to eat and play at the same time. When I eat, I would also like to blow bubbless (& cereal). So, I have my cereal all over the place. I blew so hard, the cereal even landed on the floor and Mami's t-shirt. Playing is fun, but I better not play too much. I overheard Mami telling Ah Mah "Haiyoh, so messy. Don't want to feed him cereal already-lah. Drink milk enough-lah".

Morning Expression

I'm always in a happy mood after waking up in the morning. This is my typical morning expression when i'm awake after a nice long sleep through the night.



Mami: Shaun would still wake up once or twice a night for night feed.

Yummy Yummy Yum Yum

Today is 21st August 2008 and I've just ate cereal for the first time. Yummy Yummy Yum Yum. Wish I could eat more often, instead of just once a day. Every time when I see someone eating, i'll keep sticking my tongue out to hint hint that I want to eat. But, noone seem to bother until today.

I can finally flip over

Mami didn't managed to capture a video or a photo of me flipping over, but I did it! I did it! I finally flipped over (after all the pressuring from Mami). I flipped from my tummy to my back. I sleep on my tummy all the time, so, I really do not like to flip over. It makes me feel unsecure. Mami has finally stopped pressuring me.

My new chair

For the first time, I sat on a chair. It was a real shocking experience. However, as i sat longer, i realised it's pretty comfortable.

The Flipping Stunt

Many people have asked Mami whether I can do the "flipping" stunt. I'm trying to learn, but i can't seem to flip all the way. By the way, why must I learn how to flip? Why can't Mami just flip me over if she wanted me to do so?

About me

Hhm, what shall I say about myself. I love to play. When I am in a good mood, I would always smile when I hear my name. Mah Mah and Yeh Yeh in Ipoh called me a cheerful baby.

I dislike to drink my milk. I would rather sleep than drink. Ku Poh is always so worried when I don't want to drink milk. She would always complain to Ah Mah or Mami. Guess everyone has given up in forcing me to drink.

Mami: Ku Poh is Shaun's caretaker during the day from Monday to Friday. She is actually my Ku Poh (my grandma's step-sister) and is Shaun's Poh Tai (Grand-aunty). However, she is quite young in her 40's. So, my sons call her Ku Poh. Sounds complicated huh?

Getting ready to church

Dadi took a quick picture of us at home before going to church. Dadi says every Sunday, we must all go to church. I am not sure what church is, but i do know that it is very nice to sleep when everyone is singing many many songs.

My cousins

Mami was introducing me to 3 cousins who live nearby. They all love to touch me and hold me and sayang me. Makes me a little frighten because sometimes, I feel like I am falling off when one of the Koko carries me.

Mami had convinced my Koko to let me play his toy. See, me playing with the toy, but what am I suppose to do?

Morning routine during the weekdays

Every morning during the weekdays, Mami would wake me up at 6:30 a.m. to get ready to go to my Grandaunty's place. As Mami has to go to work, my Grandaunty would take care of me and Mami would fetch me back after work before 7 p.m.

This is how i look like every morning. All ready to go.

Naughty Koko

Koko has been very naughty. He refuses to let me play with his toys. See my overgrown koko playing with my baby ocean gym.
