The Fruit of The Spirit

Hooray! I managed to memorise the fruit of the spirit in its sequence. I recited it to Aunty Madeline, my Sunday School Teacher this morning.

The fruit of the spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control.

I am worrying Mami

I have been making Mami very worried about me lately. It is indescribable.

I have been crying every morning since last week. My preschool starts at 8:30 a.m. However, I would want to go as early as possible to school. I dislike seeing my friends in school before I come. I am paranoid that I would be late for school. Every morning, I would cry before 8 a.m., telling Mami that I am already late for school. Mami has been trying to teach me how to read the clock, but I would just ignore the clock and cry.

Secondly, I am paranoid that I would forget my homework. Everyday, before going to school, I would check my homework to ensure that I have completed my homework. Mami would always assure me that I would have done the day before. I certainly would not take her word for it. I would be rushing to check my homework in the car, on the way to my preschool.

Mami had quite a long conversation with my teachers this morning. She is beginning to be worried over my reactions about school. I believe another kilogram of weight had tumbled down on her head. My teachers commented that I am very "kiasu" and requires lots of assurances and praises. I am also very self-centred. I am good at my work and I am very pro-active in answering questions. However, I would be upset if I am not given the opportunity to answer a question. The teacher feels that I am putting too much pressure onto myself to perform in class. When it comes to Mandarin classes, I would normally cry when I am unable to read as well as my friends. Mandarin has always been the subject that I am weak in.

My teacher mentioned that I am a boy who requires lots of attention, love and assurances during classes. It is not so bad for a four years old boy, but would I be the same when I am five or six years old? I cannot expect the teachers to keep treating me like the little baby in class. It is understandable now because I am in a five-year-old class. I am the youngest in the class right now.

Am I beginning to inherit Kor Kor's "kiasu-ness"?

Eat Kor Kor's

I normally do not share my food with anyone. Not even with Mami at times. This morning I was eating a banana. Dadi asked for a mouth, and I immediately replied "ask Kor Kor". This proves my love for food.

Birthday celebration in Ipoh

We went back to Ipoh last weekend. Kor Kor and I really enjoyed ourselves.

We celebrated my cousin Joel Kor Kor's birthday and Galaxy Laser in Ipoh. Joel Kor Kor invited some school mates, and we had unlimited sessions within 2 hours. We also had KFC for lunch. We certainly had great fun, running around.

In addition, Mah Mah baked two birthday cakes. One for Joel Kor Kor and another for my Dadi. As always, Mah Mah's birthday cakes are always the best. Tasty and best of all, we get to decorate the cakes for her.

See how beautiful the four boys decorated the birthday cake? Who said only girls can be creative???

We had a great time in Ipoh.

I am always hungry

Mami has been complaining that I am always very hungry. In the morning, I would normally have 6 ozs of milk, and a small bowl of cereal. 30 minutes after that, I would be asking for bread. Sometimes I would take a slice, otherwise two slices of peanut butter bread. This has been my habit before going to school. After school, I would ask for milk and cornflakes. Dadi feels that he needs to deworm me, but he has done so early this year. Wouldn't it be too early?

Transformer watch

I was down with stomach flu since Sunday night. I was very moody, and did not want to eat. Mami decided to cheer me up with this Transformer watch which she bought in Tesco Extra. The watch came with a few other transformer pictures for me to change on the watch cover. After wearing my watch, I told Mami that I didn't feel tired anymore. It certainly helped cheer me up.
